The Cloud Reporting Dashboard is an at-a-glance summary of filtering activity across your organisation. Designed for both IT Administrators and Safeguarding Leads, it highlights the most important trends and events, helping you monitor usage, identify risks, and make informed policy decisions more effectively.
- Instant visibility and efficiency: Access an overview of activity without waiting for a report to run.
- Safeguarding focus: Spot at-risk users, new search trends, and safeguarding themes with severity levels to support timely intervention.
- Policy insight: Make filter policy decisions informed by your top blocked and allowed sites.
Access the Dashboard
- Sign in to the Cloud Portal.
- Select Reporting.
- You’ll be taken directly to the Dashboard. You can also go to the New Filter Report page to run reports or the Reporting page to see past reports.
If you don’t see the Reporting card, contact your organisation’s IT or Smoothwall Administrator to:
- Check Cloud Reporting is included in the package your organisation has purchased. Contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss your package and available features.
- Confirm the access you should have and edit it accordingly.
Change the data range
By date
By default, the dashboard displays activity from the Last 7 days, up to midnight (12 AM) this morning. Use the Date range dropdown to change to view results from Today so far or from Yesterday.
Note
To see a wider range of dates (up to 31 days of data within the past 180 days), run a report.
By tenant
If you have a multi-tenant setup, you'll see the Tenant dropdown:
- If you have Cloud Reporting Administrator access, your Dashboard shows All tenants by default. You can select a specific tenant using the Tenant dropdown.
- If you have Reporting access, you can change between the tenants you have access to using the Tenant dropdown.
Dashboard charts and the data included
The Dashboard includes web requests with Log Levels 3, 4 or 5. Its data sources are the same as for all reports in Cloud Reporting:
- Activity from within the browser for devices with Smoothwall Browser or Cloud Filter Extension.
- All activity on the device for devices with Android Filter App or filtered by On-Premise Appliance.
The Dashboard is an at-a-glance overview. To view more than the top 10 or drill down into individual users, run a report for the data you need.
Tip
You can take a screenshot or print the page, or run and export a report.
