Cloud Portal Roles and access permissions – Smoothwall Help Centre

Cloud Portal, including the Admin Panel, Cloud Filter and Cloud Reporting, has different Roles that you can assign to users to grant them access to sets of features, functions, and data based on their position within your organisation. You should only assign your users the minimum access required to meet their needs.

The areas you can give access to depend on your licence package.

This article outlines the different Roles available, as well as what they previously allowed users to do before the release of User Access Management and what they now allow users to do.

Cloud Reporting Note If you have Record Manager: Legacy Record Manager: Removing the Cloud Reporting role also removes access to the RM Reports area in Cloud Reporting. Record Manager 2.0: Removing the Cloud Reporting role does not affect access to the Reporting area in Record Manager.	Administrator	Access the Filter Reports tab in Cloud Reporting to run reports. See information from all available tenants in a multi-tenant setup. Manage accounts for other Cloud Reporting Administrators.	Reports Admin	The ability to manage accounts for other Reports Admins has been removed.

Directory Management	N/A	This is a new role.	Directory Admin	Access and manage these pages in the Admin Panel: Directories Smoothwall / Linewize Groups Directory Audit Account Information: View your UNCL , Directory API Key and License Expiry Date .
