Smoothwall Cloud Administrator types and access permissions – Help Centre

This article applies to our Cloud product only, not to On-Premise Appliance Filter and Firewall.

You can add as many users as you need to manage the different areas in Smoothwall Cloud.

Note

The areas you can give access to depend on your Smoothwall licence package.
If you have a Hybrid setup (Cloud and On-Premise Appliance), you must manage On-Premise Administrators in the On-Premise Appliance.

There are two types of access for the Smoothwall Cloud:

Full Cloud Administrator access: A user with full Administrator access is a Default Cloud Administrator. They have access to the Admin Panel, Cloud Filter and Cloud Reports.
Access to specific areas: You can give access to filtering or reporting without allowing them to edit the Cloud configuration. You select their role when you add a user to Cloud Filter or Cloud Reports.
- Administrator access:
  - Can manage Cloud Filter or Cloud Reports Administrators.
  - In a multi-tenant setup, they can see information from all available tenants.
- Filtering or Reporting access:
  - Can’t manage Cloud Filter or Cloud Reports Administrators.
  - In a multi-tenant setup, users only see information for the tenant they are linked to.

Once you have decided what access to give, you can add your Administrators.
