This article applies to organisations with a 'Hybrid' setup (both On-Premise Appliance and Cloud), as well as On-Premise only and Cloud only setups.
Once you sign in to Smoothwall On-Premise Appliance or Cloud Portal, you may find that you don’t have access to everything you are expecting.
Check your permissions
Your access will depend on whether you have Full Administrator access or are limited to certain areas. Contact your Organisation’s IT Administrator or Smoothwall Administrator to confirm your access.
For Cloud users
If you have been given access to Filter and Reporting but not the Admin Panel:
- You can access both areas using the same account if the same email address was used.
- If a different email address has been used for each account, switch between accounts to access Filter and Reporting.
Check your On-Premise Appliance setup
- Some features are only available on certain Releases. For example, Leeds includes features that are no longer available in Maiden.
- Ensure you have installed any features you’ve purchased from System > Maintenance > Modules.
Check your licensing
Your available features depend on the package you have purchased. Contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss your package and available features.
