Edit the Welcome message for Administrators

This article applies to our On-Premise Appliance Filter and Firewall product only, not to Cloud.

 

You can set a Welcome message to show on the Smoothwall On-Premise Appliance sign-in page.

  1. Go to System > Administration > Admin options.
  2. In the Welcome messages section, define the messages:
    1. The top box includes a message that shows to users accessing Smoothwall via SSH. The default message can be deleted or edited and says: ‘WARNING: Any modifications to files or configurations made outside the web interface or setup program will void any support entitlement unless said change was requested in writing by an authorized vendor support engineer.’
    2. In the second box, you can enter a welcome message to show to Smoothwall Administrators on the sign-in page.
  3. Select Save.
