You can allow the Smoothwall support team to access your On-Premise Appliance to quickly identify and troubleshoot your issue using one of two methods:
- Secure Shell (SSH): Remote secure access to your Smoothwall On-Premise Appliance using the root password. Turn this on as needed, or as instructed by Smoothwall Support.
- Remote Support SSH: Secure communication via the Smoothwall ‘Support Tunnel’ using key-based authentication. With this option, you don’t need to give out a password. You can leave this option turned on.
