You may have a new, additional or replacement internet line. This article lists some areas you need to update in your Smoothwall On-Premise Appliance. Additional steps to manage the internet line within your network are not detailed here.

- Manage your interfaces from Network > Configuration > Interfaces:
- Ensure an interface exists with the Used as field set to External.
- Change the IP address of the interface to match the details your ISP provided.
- Edit your Port forwards rules to use the new external interface for the Local IP field.
- Edit your Source NAT rules to change the Gateway to the new external interface.
- If you use DNS servers provided by your ISP, edit your DNS forwarders (not your conditional DNS Forwarders or static DNS Hosts).
- If you use the Outside Premises feature, edit the Location to update the exclusion with your organisation’s new public IP address.
