- Bridge member: Select the parent Bridge interface.
- Select the Mode.
- For MAC, enter the MAC address of the Port selected earlier for MAC Spoofing.
VLAN
- Choose a Parent interface to bind to this VLAN interface.
- For VLAN tag:
- Leave as Untagged to create an untagged VLAN connection which exists on the same link as other tagged VLANS. You can only create one Untagged VLAN per VLAN Parent Interface.
- Enter a tag name so that the Smoothwall Appliance recognises and allows traffic from this VLAN through the interface.
- For Used as, select how the interface will be used:

Next steps
-
Add an IP address to your interface to use as the Default IP address.
Important
Ensure there is only one IP address on an internal interface to avoid network issues.
- Edit an interface by hovering over it and selecting Edit. Make your changes, then select Save changes.
- Delete an interface.
- If your Smoothwall Appliance supports bypass ports, you can add them as needed.
Note
The available bypass ports are grouped by function, and you can’t change them.
- Go to the Global settings section of the Interfaces page.
- Select the relevant port combination to short together.
- Select Save changes.
