Filtering
The Android Filter app uses the same policies you set up in Smoothwall Cloud Filter to manage and control internet access for users. Refer to our Help Centre section on Web Filtering.
Safeguarding Alerts
The Android Filter app not only filters content in real-time, but also tracks user activity for potential Safeguarding Concerns. If a user attempts to access inappropriate or harmful content, the app notifies your Smoothwall Administrator or DSL, depending on what you’ve set up for Safeguarding Alerts from Cloud Portal. Reporting
Cloud Reporting provides an overview of user activity and safeguarding incidents, accessible at any time. Refer to our Help Centre sections on Cloud Reporting and Safeguarding Reporting.
Device Compatibility
The Android Filter app is compatible with a broad range of managed Android devices, including tablets and smartphones, with these requirements:
- Devices must be running Android 11.0 (Red Velvet Cake) or higher.
- Devices must be managed through a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution for deployment and management.
