Although both Cloud Portal and Smoothwall On-Premise Appliance platforms have a reporting area, we recommend using Cloud Reports because:
- We are actively developing this product.
- The On-Premise Appliance reporting area only reports logs for Cloud Filter Extension, not Smoothwall Browser or Android Filter App.
- Devices filtered by the On-Premise Appliance send data to Cloud Reports, where it is added to data from devices filtered by Cloud Filter. The data doesn’t sync back to the On-Premise Appliance.
If you don’t have Cloud Reports, contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss moving to Cloud Filter.
Your licence may include Cloud Reports, but you might not see this area due to your permissions. Check with your Cloud Administrator if you are unsure.
