Although both Cloud Portal and Smoothwall On-Premise Appliance platforms have a reporting area, we recommend using Cloud Reporting because:
- We are actively developing this product.
- The On-Premise Appliance reporting area only reports logs for Cloud Filter Extension, not our other Agents and Extensions.
- Devices filtered by the On-Premise Appliance send data to Cloud Reporting, where it is added to data from devices filtered by Cloud Filter. The data doesn’t sync back to the On-Premise Appliance.
If you don’t have Cloud Reporting, contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss moving to Cloud Reporting.
Your licence may include Cloud Reporting, but you might not see this area due to your permissions. Check with your Cloud Administrator if you are unsure.
