This article applies to organisations with a Cloud setup, and those with a 'Hybrid' setup (both On-Premise Appliance and Cloud).
You can see an audit log of changes made in Cloud Filter to identify who made changes and when. You can also see the changes that have not yet been published.
Note
The Audit Log does not include changes to Administrators or edits made during User Emulation.
- In Smoothwall Cloud, go to Filter > Audit Log.
- If you have a multi-tenant setup, you can see logs for All tenants, or use the Tenant drop-down to select a specific tenant.
- Select the calendar icon to select a start and end date.
- Select Search.
You’ll see a table the 100 most recent results, with the most recent changes at the top. To narrow down your results you can reduce the date range or use the search bar and either press your Enter key or select Search.
Note
Searching looks at additional data in the background rather than only the columns in the table. You may see results that don't match your search term.
The table includes:
- The initials of the User who made the change. Hover over this to view their email address.
- The Topic of the change, such as Policies or URLs.
- The Action that was taken (either Update, Create or Delete).
- The details of what was changed, for example ‘Added time slot "Week day"’ or ‘Changed policy "Streaming" position from 3 to 4’.
- The date and time of the change.
Tip
You’ll see Publish - Cloud: A new config update was published when an Administrator selected Publish on the Filter > Publishing page.
