Reinstalling a Failover Device

Prerequisite

Make sure that both devices are on the same update level before proceeding.

Procedure

1. In your master smoothwall goto the System menu, under the Hardware submenu, click Failover.
2. Under the Heartbeat section, select the Enabled option.
3. Click Generate failover setup archive and save to a USB drive.
4. Connect the USB to the failover device.
5. SSH to the failover on port 222 using the root password.
6. Type "setup".
7. Restore configuration (select failover archive) press enter.
8. Reboot the box.
