Edit or delete a built-in or imported Certificate Authority (CA)

This article applies to our On-Premise Appliance Filter and Firewall product only, not to Cloud.

 

Smoothwall comes installed with open-source certificates issued by well-known and trusted external Certificate Authorities. You can also import them from other sources.

You can’t edit an imported or built-in CA but you can delete them.

Important

Only built-in CAs can be restored if deleted by mistake.

  1. Go to System > Certificates > Certificate authorities.
  2. Select the checkbox in the Mark column for each CA you want to delete.
  3. Move to the bottom of the page.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. To bring back built-in CAs, select Restore deleted built-in CAs.
