This article provides fixes to common error messages that can show on the Android Filter app.
Follow all the steps to deploy the Android Filter app on Single-user devices or devices in Shared Device Mode (SDM). If the deployment is incomplete or incorrect, the following error messages show.
Trusted Certificate not installed
Use your MDM to deploy the Trusted Certificate to the device.
App Profile not installed
Use your MDM to deploy the App Configuration Profile to the device.
VPN Policy not installed
Use your MDM to deploy the Always-on VPN Policy to the device.
VPN failed to start
Restart your device. If the issue persists, contact Smoothwall Support.
Device could not be provisioned
This can result in App users having unfiltered access if you don’t have Global Web Filter Policies. Devices show this error when one or more steps to install the Android Filter App have not been completed correctly. For example:
- Your devices use Shared Device Mode (SDM), but you have followed the instructions to deploy the Android Filter app on Single-user devices or vice versa.
- The Tenant Id, Hardware Id or User Id are incorrect.
