This article applies to organisations with a 'Hybrid' setup (both On-Premise Appliance and Cloud), as well as On-Premise only and Cloud only setups.
This article outlines how to edit existing Tenants’ details. Tenants are a way to customise your settings for different parts of your organisation, such as schools in your Multi Academy Trust (MAT).
You can’t edit the UUID (Tenant ID) once created. You can edit the tenant’s name and description and, in On-Premise Appliance, the IP address range.
Hybrid (both On-Premise Appliance and Cloud)
You can use either On-Premise Appliance or Cloud to edit the tenant name. If editing in Cloud, ensure you then go to Filter > Publishing and select Publish to sync the changes to your On-Premise Appliance.
You can’t edit IP address range(s) for tenants in Cloud, so you would need to edit these in your On-Premise Appliance.
On-Premise Appliance
- Go to System > Administration > Tenants.
- Hover over the tenant you want to edit.
- Select Edit.
- Amend your tenant name or IP address range(s).
Important
You won’t be able to save your changes if you use an IP address range already in use for another tenant.
- Select Save changes.
Cloud
- Go to Admin Panel > Tenant Management.
- Hover over the tenant you want to edit.
- Select the three vertical dots.
- Select Edit.
- Edit your tenant information, such as the tenant name or description.
- In the tags section, select X to delete a tag, or enter text and select your Enter key to add a tag.
- Select Save.
