Adding a new contact
To add a new contact to Monitor, navigate to the Organisations screen and click 'edit' next to the organisation you wish to add the contact to:
You will then see four sections on the left
- Safeguarding contacts can see everything in the portal and will receive email/phone alerts
- Limited Safeguarding contacts see nothing in the portal, and only receive alerts from an Alerting Profile they are listed in
- IT contacts will only be able to see device information
- Reporting contacts will only be able to see high-level summary information
In this section you can then click the 'Add contact' button to enter the details for the new contact. If you wish to add any notes about the user concerning if/when they should be called, please add this to the phone number field at the end.
Modifying a contact
To edit an existing contact from Monitor, Navigate to the Organisations section, click 'edit' next to your intended Organisation and select the correct contact type. Click the three dots to the right of their name and select the Edit option. Make your changes and click save.
If the contact is listed at multiple organisations, be sure to edit their entries there too.
Deleting a contact
To remove an existing contact from Monitor, navigate to the Organisations section, click 'edit' next to your intended Organisation and select the correct contact type. Click the three dots to the right of their name and select the Delete option.
If the contact is listed at multiple organisations, be sure to remove them from those too
Error Messages and Troubleshooting
If you receive the error message 'unable to add user to the organisation' this may be because the contact is already listed at your organisation, perhaps with a different contact type.
The message 'unable to remove user from organisation' may occur when they were the original onboarding contact for the account. Please contact support to get assistance removing this user.
