Summary
This article explains how to enforce the Mature Content filter on Vimeo.com
Problem
Vimeo video service hosts a variety of content, some of which is adult in nature and unsuitable for younger audiences.
This article will help you set up your content modification policies so that Vimeo's own Mature Content Filter is always set to "Don't show mature content", and will prevent the user from being able to disable this setting.
Solution
Vimeo: Force Mature Content Filter
The content modification policy is named Vimeo: Force Mature Content Filter. This policy requires a HTTPS Decrypt and Inspect policy to function. If you cannot or do not wish to employ a HTTPS Decrypt and Inspect policy then you will not be able to enforce Mature Content filtering on Vimeo.
To set up the Vimeo: Force Mature Content Filter content modification policy you will need to perform the following steps;
- Ensure an HTTPS Decrypt and Inspect policy has been set up, see our help topic, Creating HTTPS inspection policies. This policy must cover the 'vimeo.com' domain as a minimum.
- Create a content modification as follows; (See Creating content modification policies for more information);
- Who: Everyone
- What: Vimeo
- Where: Everywhere
- Action: Apply Vimeo: Force Mature Content Filter
Once saved you should find that the Mature Content Filter is enforced across all of vimeo.com. Any attempts to disable the Mature Content filter will fail and it will automatically be re-enabled by this content modification.
Notes:
This content modification enables Vimeo's own filtering of their content, if something is not rightfully flagged as Mature then please contact Vimeo to have the tagging system changed.
