This article describes how to apply the following content modifications to Google.
- Remove Adverts from Google.
- Block Google Doodle Games.
- Remove Translation From Google and Bing Search Results.
- Remove YouTube videos from Google Search.
Procedure
- Create a category that contains all Google domains, see our help topic, Creating custom categories:
- Name: "Google"
- URL patterns: google\.\w{1,3}(?:\.\w{1,3})?
- Create a content modification policy with these settings, see our help topic, Creating content modification policies:
- Who:"Everyone, or the relevant user or groups to apply this policy to."
- What: "Google"
- Where: "Everywhere, or the relevant location to apply this policy to."
- Action: Apply one or more of:
- Block Google Doodle Games
- Remove YouTube videos from Google Search
- Remove Translation From Google and Bing Search Results
- Remove Adverts from Google
- If you want to apply "Remove Translation From Google and Bing Search Results" to both Google and Bing then:
- What: "Web Search"
It takes a few minutes for the changes to take effect. You might need to restart your browser.
Note: The three buttons under the search bar on the right hand side (More, Settings and Tools) will be unusable when the content modification "Block Google Doodle Games" is applied. When a user searches for a game, the buttons are visible on every other search.
