If you are experiencing a high number of account lockouts on our users' Active Directory accounts, even though you are not using Kerberos, and the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall diagnostics indicate that Smoothwall is attempting to obtain ticket for principal HTTP/*hostname*, ensure that the DNS attribute, in the computer account, on active directory has a FQDN.
Procedure
- Navigate to Computers.
- Open the Smoothwall record’s properties and ensure a FQDN has been added into the DNS name section.
