Some websites don't use a standard port of 80. You can usually tell by looking at the URL. If it contains a port number, the site is trying to connect through a non-standard port. For example: http://www.domain.com:4000. To let your users connect to these sites, you need to add the port number to your Smoothwall Filter and Firewall.
- Add the port numbers to the allowed list of port numbers for web proxy web filter configuration, see our help topic, Configuring the web proxy.
- Make sure you restart the proxy after you save your changes.
