If you want to ensure that Smoothwall Filter policies are enforced wherever the device is located when using the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall, you must add the Smoothwall Connect for Chromebook extension to your organizational unit in your Google Admin Console. This is a different solution to our Cloud Filter solution that supersedes this.

Procedure
- Log into Google with your administrator account.
- Follow the Google help topic, Make settings in your Admin console, until you reach the User & browser settings page.
- Click the Organizational unit for the users that you want to install the Smoothwall Connect for Chromebooks extension for.
- Next Add Chrome app or extension by ID and configure it with these settings, see the Google help topic, Add apps:

- We recommend that you Block all other apps & extensions, to avoid having students install third party extensions and apps which enable them to get around the web filtering you have put in place.
