Checking Which Users Have Visited a Specific YouTube Video

Procedure

1. Browse to the YouTube video and make a note of the URL.
2. Create a custom report with the following settings, see our help topic, Creating custom reports:
   • Sections:
     • Available sections: Guardian3 - User activity.
   • User activity - only appears after you click Add.
     • Options - Advanced.
       • URL: ^(.*\.)youtube.com/watch\?v=<video_code>.*
         where video_code is the 11-digit code at the end of the URL. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey1BrHELrYs. You can adapt the above regular expression to search similar websites. For example, to search for users who have visited a particular Twitter feed (^(.*\.)twitter.com/<twitter_feed>.*).
       • URL Filtering: section, select:
         • Allow domain pattern matching - We recommend that you select this option to cater for those sites that can be accessed with or without www., or those with sub-domains.
         • Allow parameter pattern matching - The parameter of a URL follows the ?. For example, help.smoothwall.net/Default.htm?inpage=yes.
