Summary
You want Google translate to be available to users, but to not bypass filtering.
Problem
I want to allow Google translate to be used as a tool, but how do I ensure it is filtered?
Solution
It is possible to block Google translate by creating a block policy for translate.google.co.uk
You may want to allow legitimate use of Google translate, but ensure that appropriate filtering still applies.
To filter Google translate, first ensure that the service is not contained in a filtering ‘whitelist’ policy, as this would prevent it from being filtered. See our help topic, Creating web filter policies.
First add the URL translate.google.co.uk to a custom category, see our help topic, Creating custom categories.
Create an HTTP inspection policy for the category that you created or appended with the Google translate URL. See our help topic, Creating HTTPS inspection policies.
Google translate can now be filtered according to your filtering rules.
