Google released version 55 of the Chrome browser on 1st December 2016 see, Stable Channel Update for Desktop. If you're using Chrome browser version 55, the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall administration user interface doesn't display properly. Labels, in particular, are misaligned to the far right of the user interface:
(Old branding user interface images kept to show the issue.)
This is a known bug to Google's Chromium team, who have worked on this issue. Due to the nature of the bug, certain HTML tags within the stylesheet used to display the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall user interface are incorrectly read by the Chrome browser. During our tests, we have seen labels in wrong positions; upon a browser resize, the labels either correct themselves or move to another completely random place in the browser.
Solution
This affects Chrome browser version 55, and affects all release versions of the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall. The Smoothwall Testing Team have run extensive tests on Chrome version 56, and this displays everything correctly. See the Google help topic, Switch between stable, beta & dev software.
We recommend that you use a different browser or ensure that your Chrome browser is upgraded.
Note: The user portal, and block pages used by your solution are unaffected by this issue.
