This article give you the configuration of the Smoothwall Filter so that it allows access to Google Earth and Google Maps, including in third party sites.
Procedure
- Create a custom category for the following domains, see our help topic, Creating custom categories:
- earth.google.com
- maps.google.com
- kh.google.com
- mw1.google.com
- mw2.google.com
- cbk0.google.com
- khmdb.google.com
- khm0.google.com
- khm1.google.com
- mt0.google.com
- mt1.google.com
- lh6.ggpht.com
- If you are using Google Updater, you should also add the following domains:
- tools.google.com
- cr-tools.client.google.com
- Create a do not inspect HTTPS inspection policy with the following settings, see our help topic, Creating HTTPS inspection policies:
- Who: "Everyone, or the relevant user or groups to apply this policy to."
- What: "The custom category that you created."
- Where: "Everywhere, or the relevant location to apply this policy to."
- When: "Always, or the relevant time slot to apply this policy to."
- Action: "Do not inspect"
