If you've made a change to your network that has impacted the user interface and you can no longer access it, you can use the Windows command line to access it.
Procedure
Use the command line interface to retrieve an archive to restore to.
- Login to the appliance command line:
- You can do this by plugging a monitor and a keyboard into the appliance or by using PuTTY on port 222. You'll need the root password.
- Archives are located in /var/archive, you can cd to this directory and type ls to list the archives and see the name of the archive you need.
- Use the following command, where [name-of-file] is the archives name (you should be able to tab the rest of the archive name in this command):
/usr/bin/smoothwall/restoreall.pl /var/archive/[name-of-file]
For example: /usr/bin/smoothwall/restoreall.pl /var/archive/smoothwall-leeds-1-archive
