This article details which Content Modification policies you’ll have on day one of using Smoothwall Filter.
In Cloud Filter
We got Cloud Filter after 2024
You won’t have any Content Modification policies turned on in Cloud Filter, so you can turn any of them on as required.
If you have a Hybrid setup, this will change your setup so you manage Content Modification from Cloud Filter. See: Manage Content Modification from Cloud Filter.
We got Cloud Filter in 2024 or earlier
These Content Modification policies are automatically turned on in the background:
- SafeSearch via CONNECT header
- YouTube - Comments removal
- Force SafeSearch
- YouTube - SafetyMode cookie
Even if the toggle appears off, these policies remain active unless Smoothwall Support turns them off. Contact Smoothwall Support to remove these policies.
