Google removed Basic view, which resulted in users seeing a message to update their browser when the Google - Image search basic mode Content Modification was on.
- We have removed this Content Modification from Cloud Filter.
- Policies using this Content Modification in On-Premise Appliance now show ‘Deleted content modification’ and have no effect.
Use SafeSearch and the Enforce Google Image Licensing Content Modification to restrict images. The Google - Web Search (basic mode) Content Modification is not affected.

- Improved our Self Harm category to ensure educational services and safeguarding tools aren’t incorrectly categorised.
- Results from Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo and YouTube that include a prompt about where to get help are automatically categorised with the Safeguarding Theme of Suicide, so they generate Safeguarding Alerts.
