When your organisation starts using Smoothwall Filter, we recommend that these default Anti-malware Policies are applied to ensure Smoothwall can scan content for malware threats:
- Do not scan the Software Updates and Safe Content Filetypes categories.
- A folder containing categories to scan:
- Bandwidth Wasting Filetypes
- Octet Streams
- In-page Executables
- Executable Files
- Archive Filetypes
Check your policies from Guardian > Anti-malware > Manage policies.
If your policies look different to what’s shown below, you can add, change the order of, or edit them.
