When your Smoothwall uses HTTPS inspection and users have installed the Certificate Authority on their devices, they’ll see a warning message that they need to accept to access HTTPS websites. You can change the frequency and wording of this message.
- Go to Guardian > HTTPS inspection > Settings.
- Move to the Manage HTTPS interception warning section.
- To edit the message:
- You can amend the Warning message from the default: ‘Warning: Secure (HTTPS) connections are being monitored by your system administrator.’
- You can amend the Confirmation button label users need to select to visit the website from the default: ‘Accept and continue’.
- To change the Warning frequency, select from:
- Daily: Displays the warning page daily.
- Weekly: Displays the warning page weekly.
- Never: The warning page is never displayed. Check local laws before selecting this option, as some places require you to warn users before decrypting and inspecting HTTPS data.
- Select Save.
