This article applies to our On-Premise Appliance Filter and Firewall product only, not to Cloud.
See a list of end users who have authenticated with Smoothwall services on the Services > Authentication > User activity page.
Note
To see who has logged into the Admin Portal, see On-Premise Appliance Admin Portal users.
The table on the page shows all users currently authenticated or signed out within the last 15 minutes. You’ll see columns for the Username, when the user last Logged in, the Tenant (if you have a multi-tenant setup), their Source IP and Authentication Method.
You can also see the Group(s), which can help identify mapping issues.
- You’ll see Default users if the user has been mapped to the Default users group.
- A hyphen ‘-’ and no group name if there is no mapping or there are authentication issues causing difficulties with mappings. However, these users are treated as if they were explicitly mapped to the Default Users group for Authentication and Web Filter Policies.
If the Username, Group(s) or Authentication Method is not what you expect, check:
- You have mapped your User Groups correctly.
- Whether the User Identification is incorrect.
Hover over a username to:
- Temporarily ban web browsing.
- Sign the user out of authentication by selecting Log user out.
