You can customise your SSL and non-SSL Login pages with your organisation’s branding or welcome message.
Note
To show the Google or Azure sign-in button on the Login pages, you must set up Google or Azure sign-in.
Before you begin
For the Login page to work, ensure you have a Smoothwall access rule to Accept traffic for the Other web access on HTTPS (442) service.
Customise the Login page
- Go to Services > Authentication > SSL login.
- For Title Image or Background Image:
- Select the arrow to view the current image.
- Select Choose file to select an image to upload.
- The page scales the Logo image to a width of 250px.
- The page crops the Background image to a height of 350px and a width of 520px.
- The maximum file size is 1 MB.
- Select Delete, then Save changes to remove the custom image. The Login pages then uses the default Smoothwall image.
- You can change the SSL login page text from the default message: ‘Please login to provide access to the Web’.
- For certificates:
- If you use the SSL Login page:
- You can change the certificate if it’s expired, or you want to use a certificate from a real-world Certificate Authority or vendor. In the SSL certificate section, select the UI preferences link to go to the System > Preferences > User interface page and change the certificate.
- In the Customise SSL login section, select the checkbox to Display a link to the inspection root certificate download page. This allows users to install the certificate from the getcert page.
- If you only use the non-SSL Login page, users can sign in without installing the certificate on their device.
- If you use the SSL Login page:
- Select Save changes.
You can review the SSL Login page by opening it in your browser. For example, go to your Smoothwall’s IP address or hostname followed by /clogin. For example, https://1.2.3.4:442/clogin
