Creating a tunnel to link the main Smoothwall to the secondary Smoothwall

Procedure

1. On the main system, on the NETWORK menu, under the VPN submenu, click Certificate authorities.
2. Create a local Certificate Authority.
3. Create signed certificates for the main and secondary Smoothwalls.
4. Install the main signed certificate as the main default local certificate of the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall.
5. Create the tunnel specification to the secondary Smoothwall.
6. Export the secondary Smoothwall's signed certificate using the PKCS#12 format.
7. Export the main Certificate Authority certificate of the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall in PEM format.

Follow-up tasks

• Create the primary site-to-site link.
• Create an additional Certificate Authority on the secondary Smoothwall Filter and Firewall.
