Making sure that the VPN subsystem is working on both systems

Prerequisites

• Example IPsec site-to-site and X509 authentication configuration.
• Creating the tunnel on the secondary system .

Procedure

1. On the primary system, on the NETWORK menu, under the VPN submenu, click Control.
2. Under the Manual control section, identify the current status of the VPN system.
• If the status is "Running", you don't need to do anything.
• If the status is "Stopped", click Restart.
3. On the secondary system, on the NETWORK menu, under the VPN submenu, click Control.
4. Under the Manual control section, identify the current status of the VPN system.
• If the status is "Running", you don't need to do anything.
• If the status is "Stopped", click Restart.

The secondary system should initiate the VPN connection.
