Email is archived based on domain information, a specific email address, by sender or recipient. When a match is found, the email is archived by Blind Carbon Copying (BCC) it to the specified email address. The archive email address can be different for each match.
Procedure
- On the EMAIL menu, under the SMTP submenu, click Archiving.
- Under the Add domain or address to archive section, enter the Match domain or address to match to.
- Enter the Archive address of the email address that matched email is forwarded to.
- To perform matching of the domain or address against the recipient's email address, select the Match recipient option.
- To perform matching of the domain or address against the sender's email address, select the Match sender option.
- Enter a descriptive Comment, make sure that the Enabled option is selected and click Add.
Follow-up tasks
- To edit an archive rule:
- In the Current archives list, select the rule and click Edit. The rule’s settings are displayed in the Add domain or address to archive area.
- Make the changes that you want and click Edit. The rule is updated in the Current archives list.
- To delete an archive rule:
- In the Current archives list, select the rule and click Remove.
