A road warrior is a user who uses a device on the road, for example, a mobile or tablet. You can configure the Smoothwall to connect to the device securely. All user groups are given access to an SSL VPN by default. However, you can manage this by turning off the SSL VPN for a selected group. To can carry out custom commands before or after a VPN comes up or goes down, you can upload preconnect, connect and disconnect custom client scripts. When you have configured your SSL VPN, you can generate an archive file to distribute to users so that they can install the SSL VPN client on their device.
Tip: To make sure that a user gets full VPN connectivity within a Windows environment, add the user to the network configuration operator group.
